absolutely, water present on surface of our earth isn't enough to fulfill the basic needs of billions of peoples . most of the earth water is in oceans and seas and as glaciers . so it is necessary to obtain ground water in our daily life . But it should be used judiciously as it is limited and found is scarce in some places .
