is electric charge a scalar or vector quantity??/ Please guys help me its totally great confuusion... my tutn tchr says its neither a scalar nor vector coz its a particle, ncert says scalar n some says vector so what is it????

Hi friend,

I was also had a great confusion.After I had crossed and realised the one..


We know the the vector addition.(:-two moves in a same side and the third one is opposite to the two ).

But the electric charge does not obeys the law as it has no direction to flow.

Current =electric charge=scalar

Electric field =vector
(Because it has both magnitude and direction)

Hope you got idea about it.
