It is a difficult thing to talk about really. This may vary according to different personalities. People are brought up in different circumstances and surroundings. At a very young age children and youths are influenced by people around them. But when they grow up the change occurs according to themselves and their mental state. It depends on how harder the person is. Some people may be very determined and hard to deviate from their aims. Those people as less likely to be influenced by people about. But if we observe carefully, we can find out that most people are influenced by the people they love the most. And also frequent appointments, contacts, chats, talk,...etc with a person can make an influence on you. But with determination one can overcome all the influences around him.
