Explanation:

I think comparing different countries will have both positive and negative effects-

Negative Effect- It will be very inappropriate to compare the country which has mostly educated citizens to the country which do not have very educated citizens like America to Pakistan. Sometimes citizens feel very bad after seeing it so in this way comparing is not good.

Postive Effect- Comparing nation motivates citizens of the nation to grow up and to give their contribution to the nation. It also gives an competitive idea which overall helps to the nation. Comparing nation I think overall is very good for the whole world.

For comparing the developmental level of different countries, their income is considered to be one of the most important attributes. The countries with higher income are more developed than others with less income. For comparison between countries, we consider the per capita income of each country. In World Development Report, countries are recognised as rich country and low-income country according to their per capita Income. With more income, people Will be able to get more things they need. So, greater income itself is considered to be an important criterion for the development of a country.
