No there is no rule for the length to be greater than the width. It depends on you about which magnitude you consider as the length or the width.
Although we usually take the length as the greater one.

Thank you!

harikings39278: That isn't such useful. It's a sensible question and not considerable question. The side greater is always taken as length,so cause length is always greater than width in a rectangle...
ibleedstrawberryjam: I just wanted to make sure the person understands that practically the length or the width can be the greater one.
ibleedstrawberryjam: and not just stab them by saying NO LENGTH IT THE GREATEST of all. But i don't know much, I'm new here. Sorry man, if i did something wrong.
harikings39278: No.what you said is by taking magnitude it determines length is greater or width is greater
ibleedstrawberryjam: I meant whatever value you consider can be the length or the widtg
harikings39278: What new?You might be New in the app,but not in subject ok.But stil I'm not opposing you. You're not my enemy.I don't even know. But fine.BTW HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY. ..
ibleedstrawberryjam: yes, thank you
