Is Moral Courage Stronger than Physical Courage?

Undoubtedly moral courage is stronger than physical courage. Our physical strength is nothing but the expression of our inner, moral strength.

Our thoughts determine the kind of physique and physical strength we have. If our thoughts are strong, our muscles and actions will definitely be strong; on the other hand if we have fearful thoughts, these will become visible as our weakness.

All great people who have guided mankind to better future, have been people who had immense moral courage and steadfast determination in them. Lincoln did the wondrous work with moral courage; he was determined to implement proclamation of Emancipation though he faced so much resistance. Einstein showed exemplary moral courage and determination since his childhood when he faced some really tough times at his school from where he was expelled just because he asked some sensible questions from his history teacher. Helen Keller is a perfect role model for the younger generations to learn lessons of moral courage and determination. In spite of being physically challenged, she faced all the ordeals of life heroically. She is considered to be one of the most optimistic souls that have graced our planet with their dynamic personalities. Rani Laxmi Bhai could raise her voice against the atrocities of the British only through courage and determination only. Mahatma Gandhi ousted the mighty British from India using moral courage and determination.

In conclusion it can be said that moral courage determines our physical courage.
