Step-by-step explanation:

As pentagon has 5 sides,

Perimeter of pentagon=5s.....where s is the side of a pentagon

=5x10=50cm.................(1)

Perimeter of a rectangle=2(l+b)

=2(17+12)

2x29=58cm...................(2)

Therefore, the perimeter of the rectangle is more than that of the perimeter of pentagon........(from1 and 2)

The difference between the perimeter of two polygons is 58-50=8cm
