Is nylon the first man made fibre or rayon? Plz help me out... I'm really very perplexed

But although rayon is made from wood pulp , it's the first fibre made by man. And I daresay there's a difference between synthetic and man made...

Nylon, is the first man made synthetic fibre....was developed by Wallace Carothers, an American researcher at the chemical firm DuPont in 1930s....!!!
