So basically, the Omnitrix creates variation in the DNA and results in the transformation into another species. Changing the DNA structures within the human body will result in dysfunctioning of organs and body parts. Every DNA strand consists of all the information related to our body parts and changing the DNA can cause loss of information and can cause organ dysfunctioning. So at least with existing technology, it doesn't seem any future.
