Is the correct "I look forward to meet you" or "I look forward to meeting you"?

I look forward to is a phrasal verb which is formed by a verb, an adverb and a preposition.


Therefore, after a preposition the gerund is used.


So, the correct one is, “I look forward to meeting you".


It is the right expression and here the “to” is associated with look forward and not with the meeting.
