\large\boxed{\rm\purple{Insectivorous \:plants}}

All the insectivorous plants show both autotrophic as well as heterotrophic mode of nutrition.

Insectivorous plants are the plants that obtain their nutrition from insects by trapping them in their unique structures which attract them. When they fall into their trap the lid which is different in each type of plant closes and the insect is pushed in through the digestive track. There some digestive enzymes and juices are present which digest the insect body.

These plants are also known as carnivorous plants.

They mostly grow in areas with very poor soil hence depend upon insects.

Eg :

  • \rm\purple{ Venus\: fly \:trap}
  • \rm\green{ Pitcher\: plant}
  • \rm\orange{ Sundew\: plant}
  • \rm\red{ Common\: Butterwort}

These plants show both autotrophic and heterotrophic mode of nutrition. Though they make most of thier food ; they lack some specific nutrients that are obtaining from insects.
