Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Height of tank = 1 m = 100 cm

Diameter of base = 140 cm

Radius of base = 70 cm

To Find :-

Total Area of Tank

Formula to be used :-

Total Area of Tank = 2πr(L + r)

Solution :-

Putting all the values, we get

Total Area of Tank = 2πr(L + r)

⇒ Total Area of Tank = 2 × 22/7 × 70 × ( 100 + 70)

⇒ Total Area of Tank = 20 × 22 × 170 cm²

⇒ Total Area of Tank = 74800 cm²

⇒ Total Area of Tank = 7.48 m²

Hence, 7.48 m² squares meters of the sheet are required for the same.
