Dear Mother:
I hope this letter finds you in your usual vibrancy of body, soul, and mind. All is well here. My job is going on very well. I am writing to share with you a very humorous incident of rumor that caused a lot of commotion in Solan last week.
At the weekend I along with my colleagues went to the market. Outside a mall we saw a huge crowd assembled; everyone was vying to get inside an electronics shop at the entrance. However, the security men were also doing their level best to keep the crowd outside. Intrigued I asked one of the bystanders what the matter was. Laughing he explained someone had spread the rumour that the electronics shop was selling products at 70% discount. So as many people as heard it, rushed to the shop to buy their favourite electronic gadget.
I myself was interested to buy a laptop for me. But soon the manager came out and announced that it was a sheer rumour; the products were available for sale but only at retail price. There was no discount on any item. Disappointed, the crowd dispersed; we also came back to our apartment. How is everyone here? I miss you all. I miss your food the most!
