I scored 98.25% in my 12th Board Exam, but no one bothered congratulating me for my performance. I feel really depressed about this. What should I do?

Hi. The ICSE results were out recently and I got 97.8%. I know how you feel, and it sucks. I haven't been congratulated at all either, because people expected much much more. Before this result, I'd always been the batch topper. This year, I'm second (the first being 98%). I absolutely hate how things have turned out. Going through the days is hard. I'm even switching schools on a whim. The least I wanted was to be the batch topper. This is unbearable.

I feel very depressed as well. However, this rat-hole we're digging for ourselves will do us no good. I suggest you turn your attention to doing exceedingly well in college and doing something REALLY GREAT with your life. At some point, the appreciation will be there, without you even realizing it.

I will appreciate your result and say that 98.25% is something I cannot even hope to achieve in my 12th board, since I shall be too busy preparing for competitive exams in March and April 2018. The fact that you've got 98.25%, with the thoughts of college obviously clogging your mind, is remarkable in itself. Besides, 98.25% will sit very pretty on your CV(curriculum vitae).

SO, CONGRATULATIONS! I have a feeling 97.8% will propel me to study very very hard for the olympiads and JEE, two things I am very passionate about. Similarly, I hope your sadness at your objectively beautiful 98.25% will someday help you snatch that Nobel Prize or Pulitzer or Grammy or Ballon d'Or or Fields Medal or whatever it is you want to achieve.

Chin up and Keep Fighting. CONGRATULATIONS!
