The speaker, Aram intends to say through the above lines that Mourad is too perfect at riding horse to have just started riding the horse that day. He had a way with it and seemed to understand all it's movements. He has become an expert and it could not be done in just a day. Aram realizes that it has been a while since Mourad had stolen the horse and that he had been riding it every morning.
