Dear Diary:
I am so happy today! My long cherished desire to win laurels for my family and school was fulfilled. I participated in the inter-school athletic competition. I won four gold medals in different track and field events. I could win these medals because I had worked very hard. I have realized the value of perseverance and commitment. One can accomplish anything. Winning the gold medal in the 100 meters race was to most difficult of all the medals. I just won by a few inches. My happiness became manifold when my name was announced as the best sports man of the athletic meet. I also received lots of praise at the school. My name appeared in the local media. Everyone congratulated me. I thank God for this achievement.
