Suppose we have to find eq resistance btw B nd C.
Since AB and AC are in series.
=) 8 ohm + 8 ohm = 16 ohms.
Then 16 ohm nd 8 ohms are in parallel.
=) 1/R = 1/16 + 1/8
=) 1/R = 3/16
=) R = 16/3 ohm

Solution:
Refer to the attachment for the diagram !
According to the diagram, AB and AC are connected in a series connection.
=> Net Resistance = 8 + 8 = 16 Ω
Now BC and AB +AC are connected in Parallel connection.
Hence Net Resistance offered here is :
1 / R = 1 / 8 + 1 / 16
=> 1 / R = 2 / 16 + 1 / 16
=> 1 / R = 3 / 16
=> R = 16 / 3 Ω
Hence BC is the resistance between two terminals.
Hence we can say that the net resistance between two terminals is 16/3 Ω.
Hence Option ( d ) is correct.
