IX + VI = XI, How ?
You are supposed to make the equation equal to '11'
without bending or erasing any lines and moving
just one line.

Answer:

Take one matchstick from the VI to turn it into II (/ & I):

IX + /I=XI

IX+ II=XI

Then place it under the I from the IX it will just be longer:

(picture the two I's in IX below connected)

IX+ II=XI

I

The equation is now:

9+2=11
