The sum of their English marks is 201.

Explanation:

Given : Jack and Jill each scored 177 marks for their English and Maths exams.

i.e. Combined marks of Jack and Jill = 2 x ( Combined marks of each in English and math)

= 2 x (177)

= 354

If sum of their marks in Maths = 153

Now , the sum of their English marks = (Combined marks of Jack and Jill ) - ( sum of their marks in Maths)

=  354-153 = 201

Hence, the sum of their English marks is 201.
