Let at present the age of his son be ‘X’ years

Let His father's age will be 4times of his son =4 X

After 16 years

Mr. James age =4X+16 and his son's age will be X+16….

As per the question in 16 years his age will be 2 twice of his son  

(4X+16)=2(X+16)

By simplifying

we will get 2X=16..and X=16/2=8

So his son's is 8 years old now
