Hailey national park was opened in 1936 to protect ferocious species of cat family Bengal tiger which is the oldest park of our country which was afterwards renamed as Jim Corbett National Park. It is located in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. This park was named after Jim Corbett who has hands in establishment of this park. Area of the park is 520.8 square kms.
