x^2 + k( 2x +k -1) + 2 =0
x^2 + 2kx + k^2 - k + 2 = 0
You can clearly see 2k is the value of b
Now, substitute the values in
b^2 - 4ac = 0
(2k)^2 - 4 ×( 1) × (k^2 - k + 2 ) = 0
4k^2 - 4k^2 + 4k - 8 = 0
4k = 8
K = 8/4
K = 2
