Shopkeeper as the name suggest, is a person who manages the shop. This term is often misused because every employee at the shop is not certainly a shopkeeper.
Job description of shopkeeper include but not restricted to
- Serving the clients
- Managing the store or shop e.g. cleaning, hygiene, employee training etc.
- Answering the queries of customers and finding out their needs to improve sales
- Take care of financial matters e.g. depositing cash, day closing and managing cash flows etc.
- Keeping track of material requirement or ordering new material
