let john's initial salary be ₹100
1st year increment=25% of 100=₹25
salary after 1st increment=100+25=₹125
2nd year increment=20% of 125=₹25
salary after 2nd increment=125+25=₹150
In third year his salary becomes twice of his initial salary i.e., ₹200 (2x100).That means in 3rd year his salary increased by (200-150) ₹50
Therefore percentage of increment in salary in 3rd year=50/150×100=33.33%.....
1st year increment=25% of 100=₹25
salary after 1st increment=100+25=₹125
2nd year increment=20% of 125=₹25
salary after 2nd increment=125+25=₹150
