In shifting cultivation, many trees are being cut and burnt down. But, according to me, its wrong. Once, they grow crops and harvest them, they leave the place. So whats the point of cutting trees? In this way, many trees are bring cut for one reason, for cultivation (shifting). In my opinion, the farmers who have opted this shifting cultivation, should try to practice normal agricultural pratices and if they still practice this, shifting cultivation, so they should wait there for 2-3 years, rather than leaving the field after the first harvest. In this way, the number of trees being cut down (while practicing shifting cultivation) will reduce.
