let his monthly salary= x

x-(3/10x+3/20x+3/100x)= 6500
x-((30x+15x+3x)/100)=6500
x-48/100x=6500
52x/100=6500
x=6500*100/52
x=500*25
x=Rs.12500
his monthly salary is Rs.12500

Given :

Kamal spends 30% of his salary on food 15% on clothing and donates 3% of his salary to Charitable Trust

To Find :

What is his monthly salary

Solution:

Let the price be x

Kamal spends 30% of his salary on food

Cost of food = 0.3x

Cost of clothing =0.15x

Cost for donation = 0.03x

Total cost = 0.3x+0.15x+0.03x=0.48 x

Amount left = x-0.48x=0.52x

We are given that he was left with 6500

So, 0.52x=6500

x=\frac{6500}{0.52}

x=12500

Hence His monthly salary is Rs.12500
