 The need for deforestation in Malay peninsula. There were bulk of forests and swamp resources which were cut down drastically for the need of setting down houses. Moreover, a large number of forests were cut down in order to stop forest fire. The rate of reforestation was extremely slow, and due to extraction of palm oil and establishment of special wood and timber zones, there is also a need to go for large scale deforestation for provide for livelihood.
