Answer: The answer is (2) Laxmi has 5 marble less than Prajakta.

Step-by-step explanation:  Given that Laxmi has 25 marbles more than Meena, Meena has 50 marbles less than Neeta and Neeta has 20  marbles more than Prajakta.

Let, 'l', 'm', 'n' and 'p' be the number of marbles with Laxmi, Meena, Neeta  and Prajakta respectively. Then, according to the question, we have

l=m+25,~~m=n-50,~~n=p+20.

So,

l=m+25=n-50+25=n-25=p+20-25=p-5.

Therefore, Laxmi has 5 marbles less than Prajakta.

Thus, the correct option is (2).

Solution:

Laxmi has 25 marbles more than Meena;

Let number of marbles Meena has = x

Then, Number of marbles possessed by Laxmi = x + 25

Meena has 50 marbles less than Neeta and Neeta has 20

marbles more than Prajakta.

Number of marbles that Neeta has = x + 50

Number of marbles Prajakata has = x +50 -20= x + 30

The true statements is:

Statement 2: Laxmi has 5 marble less than Prajakta is correct.

Because, Number of marbles Prajakata has = x +30

So, x +30 - 5 = x + 25=Number of marbles possessed by Laxmi.
