If Leaves of healthy potted plant were coated with Vaseline to block the stomata then that plant will not remain healthy for long and die rapidly also.

Reasons for this are:-

1. As stomata is blocked, there will be no intake of carbon dioxide.

2. Vaseline layer prevent the plant from receiving sunlight.

3. Also, processes like photosynthesis, transpiration and respiration stops and the plant will die gradually.

● It will totally cover the stomata so the plant will die.
