Step-by-step explanation:

If the perimeter is 72 metre, find the length and breadth of the rectangle. 36m=3W Divide each side by 3. 12m=W ANSWER 1: The breadth is 12 meters. L=2W=2(12m)=24m ANSWER 2: The length is 24 meters.

Given :-

Length of a rectangle in two times its width . If the perimeter is 72 m

To Find :-

Length

Solution :-

Let the breadth beb= b

Length = 2b

Perimeter = 2(l + b)

72 = 2(2b + b)

72/2 = 2b + b

36 = 3b

36/3 = b

12 = b

Therefore

Length = 2b = 2(12) = 24 m
