length and breadth of a paper is 33 cm and 16 cm respectively. It is folded about its breadth to form a cylinder. Find the volume of the cylinder.

Here, length=height of the cylinder
And,
2\pi \: r = 16
(because the breath will form the perimeter of the curved surface of the cylinder)

Thus,
r = 16 \div 2\pi
Now,
vol = \pi \: r {}^{2} h
Put values and you get

vol = 672{cm}^{3}
