Suppose breadth of rectangle is x
so length=x+4
As per question,
2(l+b)=84
l+b=84/2=42mt
or, x+x+4=42
or, 2x=42-4=38
or, x=38/2=19mt(breadth)
length=19+4=23mt

Answer:

let the breadth be x m

then the length be (x+4) m

perimeter = 2(length + breadth)

=> 84= 2(x+x+4)

=>84= 2(2x+4)

=>84= 4x+4

=> 84-4= 4x

=>80= 4x

=>80/4= x

=> x= 20

length= 24 m

breadth= 20m
