let \: lenghth \: be \: x \\ and \: breadth \: be \: x  - 4 \\  \\ the \: formula \: for \: finding \: the \: perimeter \:  = 2 \times (l + b) \\  \\  \\ 84 = 2(x + x - 4) \\ 84 = 2(2x - 4) \\ 84 = 4x - 8 \\ 4x = 92 \\ x = 23 \\ so \: lentgh \: is \: 23 \: and \: bredth \: is \:  = 19

Here
Breadth=b
Length=b+4
Perimeter=84
=2(L+b)=84
=2(b+b+4)=84
2(2b+4)=84
2b+4=84÷2
2b+4=42
2b=38
b=38/2
b=19
l=b+4
l=19+4
l=23
Thanks
