let X be rational and y be a irrational . Is xy necessarily irrational? Justify your answer by an example

x+y will be irrational as rational number + irrational number is always irrational no.
Ex- 2+5.55..=7.55..which is irrational.
xy will also be irrational rational no.* irrational no. is always irrational no.
Ex-3*4.55..=13.66..which is irrational too.

no its not necessarily irrational
For example - 0×√2 =0 , 0 is rational
0× √7 = 0 , 0 is rational
