The Editor in Chief,

The Times of India,

Mumbai.

Subject: The nuisance of using PA System.

Sir,

The government has issued orders banning the use of loudspeakers (PA System) in public without obtaining prior permission. However many individuals and groups are still ignoring rules and misusing PA Systems.

Many restaurants, cafes and night clubs are using loudspeakers at full volume. This misuse of loudspeakers, especially at night, causes much disturbance to the students who are studying for their exams. It is very difficult for them to concentrate on their lessons when loudspeakers are being used at different places of the town.

Further, we also need to think about the sick people at home or admitted in hospitals who need rest and sleep.

The law enforcement agencies must prevent the unauthorised use of loudspeakers.I therefore earnestly request the authorities to take appropriate action immediately and book those misusing loudspeakers.

Yours sincerely,

SANJEEV

Mumbai
