Subject: Low quantity and irregular supply of water in 80 Civil Lines, Haridwar

Respected Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily newspaper, I woul like to highlight the problem of water scarcity in this locality.

For the last three weeks the locality of 80 Civil Lines is receiving very low quantity and irregular supply of water which is not enough for our daily basic needs like cooking and drinking. The few wells available in the area has dred up as they are not enough to meet the demand of so many people. The residents here are being compelled to buy water at exorbitant rates. It is also learned that other localities are not having any problem with the daily water supply.

Therefore, I earnestly request the concerned department and the authorities to look into the matter and restore immediate regular supply of water since the people of this locality are facing much hardship.

Yours sincerely,

Nidhi
