i've two letters
so, first letter
Sir — In the past few weeks, actors, politicians and other famous personalities in the country have picked up the broom to spread awareness among the masses about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (“Get rid of the dirt”, Oct 28). Celebrities have promoted social causes earlier as well but such instances are not very common. The prime minister should persuade more Bollywood actors to join the cleanliness drive. If someone like Shah Rukh Khan is seen with a broom in his hand, it can surely work miracles.
The second and a better way to give impetus to the sanitation programme would be to impose fines or to mete out punishment to anybody found littering the roads or urinating in public. But the process of taking punitive action must be judicious. The Narendra Modi government has to meticulously plan policies so that people are not antagonized but eagerly participate in the process of keeping their surroundings clean.
yours faithfully

second letter
Sir — Occasional and ‘symbolic’ participation of celebrities in promoting the Swachh Bharat campaign will not make the nation any cleaner. One has to pay heed to the practical aspects of the movement in order to make it work. All the municipalities and corporations must be held accountable for keeping the areas under their jurisdiction dirt-free.
More public toilets must be built and garbage bins should be placed at the corner of roads. Anybody who is spotted urinating in the open must be fined. The government should convince the corporate bosses to actively participate in this movement. The business houses can take up one area each and attempt to make it clean and green. All schools, colleges and local clubs should be encouraged to participate in this cleanliness crusade.
Yours faithfully,
xyz, your state.
hope it helps....
