Dear Sir,

It is through the columns of your esteemed daily that I wish to draw the attention of the civic authorities about the great nuisance that the loudspeakers blaring out ‘devotional songs’ in the name of Worship of god in my locality. Our Board examinations are on and this causes a great disturbance in our studies. I approached the organizers with my complaint but they would not take any notice of it. Such a public nuisance is rather unpardonable and I have taken recourse to the columns of your esteemed ‘Daily’ to bring this to the notice of the concerned authorities for an immediate action.Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

Subject: The nuisance caused by PA System in Delhi.

Sir,

Through your esteemed newspaper I would like to express my displeasure on the nuisance and public disturbance caused by PA System (loudspeakers).

Many restaurants, cafes and night clubs are using loudspeakers at full volume. This misuse of loudspeakers, especially at night, causes much disturbance to the students who are studying for their exams. It is very difficult for them to concentrate on their lessons when loudspeakers are being used at every corner. The use of loudspeakers in temples is another public nuisance.

Further, we also need to think about the sick people at home or admitted in hospitals who need rest and sleep.

The law enforcement agencies must prevent the unauthorised use of loudspeakers and causing public disturbance. It is one of the causes of noise pollution too. I therefore earnestly request the authorities to take appropriate action and book anyone misusing loudspeakers.

Yours sincerely,

RAJEEV SINHA
