Work function of the metal is 4.2 eV;

Given: λ=330nm.

The energy of incident photon is given by, E=hc/λ

E = 6.63 x 10^-34 x 3 x 10⁸/ 330 x 10^-9

E=6×10^−19J or 3.79eV

E is less than work function.

Hence, no photoelectric emission will take place
