(1) slope of line joining points ( 1, 3) and (-3,4) = ( 4 - 3)/( -3 -1) = 1/-4 = -1/4
(2) first of all we find equation of line
( y - 3) = -1/4 ( x -1)
4(y -3) +( x -1) = 0
4y +x -13 = 0
y -intersept => x = 0
4y = 13
y = 13/4
(c) x -intersept =>y = 0
x = 13
(d ) (-4, b) put in the equation of line
-4 + 4b -13 = 0
b = 17/4
