liquid generally have lower density as compared to solids but you must have observed that ice floats on water why?​

because ice has cage like structure and allows air to paas through it that led to lowering down the density of ice in comparison of water.

As w all know that water has lesser density than solid

1.but ice is just a box with water

so, it just have Same density as water because of which it's float on water

2. Another can be given as

ice is just a form of water which was change into solid because of freezing

,as we know that any chance show the property of it's constituents
