What is algebra?
Algebra is putting the problems as equations using alphabets as variables (unknown numbers) and numbers and solving them.
Algebra is used in real life when the formulas are used to calculate distance, speed, when volumes of things need to be known or costs need to be calculated for purchases. When people buy a house or take loan from a bank, they need to compare different rates of interest, find out how much they need to pay and in how many years etc.
Thus, Algebra is used every day in real life.
