In writer and impress charts can be inserted manually.
Impress provides same functions as compared to the functions of the powerpoint .
The main difference is that in impress you can have quick access to all the options from the main menu itself.
There are three parts of a window screen slide pane,task pane and workspace.
In impress the buttons are at the top center of the screen but in powerpoint the buttons are in the top left corner of the screen.
The differences in the font options in writer and impress are as follows:
1. Normal for writer and drawing for impress
2. Slide sorter for writer and slide for impress
3. Slide show for writer and start slide show for impress
4. Both use outlines
5. Note page from edit menu for writer and notes for impress
6. Handout for impress and N/A for a writer
7. Both have mastered.
