Functions of blood:
1) Forms blood clots to prevent excess loss of blood.
2) transports oxygen, carbon dioxide and other nutrients
3) carries cells and antibodies that fight infection
4) regulates body temperature

Difference between excretion and osmoregulation:
Excretion refers to the removal of waste products from the body of an organism and osmoregulation is the process of regulating and controlling the amount of salts and water in the body.

Excretion in amoeba:
1) The main waste materials in amoeba are carbon dioxide and amoeba.
2) The waste materials are excreted out through the process of diffusion.
3) Removal of waste materials in amoeba also takes place through contractile vacuole.
4) The waste materials present in cytoplasm of amoeba enter the contractile vacuole.
5) Then the contractile vacuole moves closer to the plasma membrane, comes in contact with it and bursts due to which its contents are released into the environment.
