Adivasis become increasingly marginalized mainly because of two reasons (i) Illiteracy and (ii) corruption.

Discuss :

  • Illiteracy:

The biggest reason for Adivasis to become marginalized is that majority of the Adivasis do not get a proper education. Although the government introduced a lot of schemes for education like Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan and Beti Padhao Beti Bachao, Aanganwadi schemes, and other various schemes but still a lot more effort is needed to reach the people living at the last edge of society so that they also able be take benefit from these schemes.

  • Corruption:

Due to the lack of proper education corrupt leaders and greedy government officials take benefit of them and make all the profits for themselves. The corrupt leaders and officials do not allow the benefits to reach the Adivasis. So a proper power representation of Adivasis and tribal people in parliament and other decision-making positions is very important.

Thus these are the two main reasons for Adivasis being increasingly marginalized.
