We know that 13=4+9. In other words, √13 is a diagonal of a rectangle which height and breadth are 2 and 3 respectively.

Construct the rectangle. Its diagonal is √13 units away from the origin.

  3. Make a line of any cm and mark 0-any number on right. and negetive number of left side.
  4. Then make a line on number 3.
  5. Then open your compass and measure from 0-1 and then mak an arc on that line drown on 3.
  6. Then join from 0-to the arc drawn by making a line.
  7. then make a smale line as shown in the pic. And mark it a point p.
  8. Below that line just write "point p is marked as ✓13.
