By change base rule
a=log_{12} 18= \frac{log_{10} 18}{log_{10} 12}
b=log_{24} 54= \frac{log_{10} 54}{log_{10} 24}
by using log to the base 10 table
a=1.1632
b=1.2552
ab+5(a-b)=1.46+5(-0.092)=1.46-0.46=1
