Solution :-

→ Negative real numbers in table are = (-0.8) , (-0.12) , (-0.4) , (-0.1) , (-12) , (-0.1) , (-1/2) and a .

So,

→ The least number in the table = Number which is farther from zero on number line = (-12) .

therefore, value of a is equal to (-12) .

now,

→ Positive real numbers in the table are = (√1 = 1) , (1⁸ = 1) , 533 , 234 , 5 , 7.7 , (1/1 = 1) , 2π , 645 , 0.39 , (2/1 = 2) , 17⁶ , √3 , 1.4 , 5.7 , 1/7 and b .

So,

→ Highest number in the table = 17⁶ = 24137569 .

therefore, value of b is equal to (17⁶ = 24137569) .

As we can see that, In the table we have ,

  • Negative integers . (-12)
  • Positive integers . (5, 645, 17⁶)
  • Irrational numbers . (√3 , 2π)
  • Negative decimal numbers . (-0.8)
  • Positive decimal numbers . (7.7)
  • Rational numbers . (-1/2, 1/2) .

now, missing numbers are ,

  • a = (-12) = A negative integer , A rational number .
  • b = 17⁶ = A positive integer , A rational number .
