compound ‘Z’ is obtained.

a. Identify X ,Y & Z.

b. Specify is this a physical or chemical change with reason.

c. Write the word equation and chemical equation for the above reaction.

d. Balance the equation using dal or coloured bindi in a half sized chart.

a. X is sodium, Y is chlorine and Z is Sodium Chloride

B. It is a chemical change as a new product is formed.

c. Sodium+Chlorine=Sodium Chloride

2 Na+Cl2= 2 NaCl
