Madeena has 1000 rs notes 500rs notes and 100rs notes with respective values in the ratio 50:65:19 find the number of 500rs notes if the total number notes is 185 with him

Let X be the number of notes.
Hence the ratio of values is 
50x : 65x : 19x
So the ratio of number of notes is
Number of notes = ration value / amount
                               = 50 X / 1000 = 0.05x
For 500 rupee note = 65 X / 500 = 0.13X
For 100 rupee note we have = 0.19X

As total notes are 185
0.05X + 0.13x + 0.19X = 185
0.37x = 185 
Hence X = 500

Number of 500 rupee notes is
0.13 × 500 ( as we have found out above )
Hence 13 × 5 = 65.

There are 65 five hundred rupee notes.
